I am a quick thinking problem solver that can easily adapt to a variety of situations. Perseverance through adversity is something that I take pride in, and also my willingness to put in all the hard work necessary to see my plans through. I always rise to the challenge, and I am not discouraged by difficult situations because I thrive under pressure.

Hello!
I’m Jaime Ventura, a UX/UI designer and researcher based in Washington, D.C., with nine years of experience turning complexity into clarity. I believe design isn’t just about creating something beautiful — it’s about understanding people deeply, solving meaningful problems, and leaving things better than we found them.
Before I found UX, I worked in accounting — a world driven by logic, structure, and systems. That background still shapes how I think: I love digging into how things work, identifying patterns, and bringing order to complexity. But UX gave me something accounting couldn’t — a way to combine analysis with creativity. From my very first design course, I knew I had found the space where empathy and evidence meet.
Since then, I’ve led large-scale research and design initiatives for organizations like the U.S. Department of Agriculture, guiding projects from discovery through validation. My approach blends qualitative insight and quantitative rigor — and I thrive at the intersection of research, design, and strategy.
Outside of design, I’m usually chasing new challenges — photography, endurance sports, or anything that pushes me to grow. Whether in work or life, I’ve always believed that progress doesn’t come from staying comfortable; it comes from daring.
If you’d like to connect or collaborate, I’d love to hear from you.
